URINARY SYSTEM

KIDNEY:
Kidney maintain the purify and constancy of our internal fluids. Everyday kidney filter gallons of fluid from the bloodstream, besides eliminating nitrogenous (nitrogen-containing) wastes, toxins and drugs from the body. They also regulate the blood’s volume and chemical makeup so that the proper balance between water and salts and between acids and bases is maintained. 






 



CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE: 


WHAT IS CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE?? 






  -    Kidney failure occurs when the kidneys are no longer able to remove waste from your blood and control the level of fluid in the body. Decreasing in the function of your kidney. Filtering process is blocked either because of direct kidney destruction (like diabetes) or by an indirect blockage (having kidney stone). Kidney failure can happen suddenly or gradually.
SYMPTOM OF THIS DISEASE

  • puffy eyes, hands, and feet (called edema)
  • high blood pressure
  • fatigue
  • shortness of breath
  • loss of appetite
  • nausea and vomiting
  • thirst
  • a bad taste in the mouth or bad breath
  • weight loss
  • generalized, persistent itchy skin
  • muscle twitching or cramping
  • a yellowish-brown tint to the skin
  • urine that is cloudy or tea-coloured
Kidney disease usually does not cause pain, but in some cases pain may occur.

CAUSES 

Kidney disease is most often caused by other conditions that put a strain on the kidneys.
High blood pressure (hypertension) and diabetes are the most common causes of kidney disease. The evidence indicates that high blood pressure causes just over a quarter of all cases of kidney failure. Diabetes has been established as the cause of around one-third of all cases.
There are many other conditions that less commonly cause CKD, including:

HOW TO TREAT CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE??

  • As for the early stage of chronic kidney disease such as stage 1, 2 and 3, this disease can be treated by taking proper diet, medicine and exercise regularly.

  • Meanwhile as for the critical stage such as stage 4 and 5, patient need to undergo for a dialysis, kidney transplantation and hemodialysis.
